D tablet press presents all the advantages the MODUL™ S has to offer:

- Enhanced operator protection thanks to the contained Exchangeable Compression Module (ECM).
- Exceptional flexibility, as the same basic machine can be equipped with a variety of ECMs, meeting your specific requirements (contained ECM, high-containment ECM and wash-off-line ECM).
In addtion to these benefits, the MODUL™ D is the most sophisticated double-output / double-layer rotary tablet press available on the market.
Courtoy's invaluable experience in bi-layer tabletting has been incorporated into the design of the MODUL™ D. The machine has the following special features:
- Zero-gap closed powder feeder to minimize cross-contamination between layers and to minimize powder loss.
- Specially designed extraction nozzels and scraper fingers for optimal cleaning of the die table, again to minimize cross-contamination between layers.
- Manual or fully atomatic first-layer sampling.
- Patented weight control system, which is exceptionally sensitive and accurate even at low compression forces. This is particularly important in case of bi-layer production, as low compression forces are applied to guarantee optimal bonding between the two tablet layers.
